Adam Kaufman is a shareholder at the firm of Henningson & Snoxell, Ltd. located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Adam helps individuals and families of all sizes and asset levels, by advising them, and preparing Wills, Trusts, Health care directives, and Powers of attorney. In addition, Adam assists individuals with other needs such as Elder Law, incapacity planning, guardianships, conservatorships and prenuptial agreements.
Adam represents fiduciaries in probate and trust administrations for decedent’s estates, including uncontested and contested matters. Adam also assists individuals with their elder law needs, including: medical assistance, incapacity planning, guardianships, and conservatorships.
He takes a personal interest in working with clients throughout their lifetimes and helping them plan for their future, including assisting them with charitable giving and business succession planning. While he now focuses his practice exclusively on estate planning and related issues, his previous experience included a broader scope of legal practice areas, including real estate, business, bankruptcy and family law, all of which can play a role in a person’s estate planning. As a result, Adam’s clients also call him for direction on whom to contact for their legal needs in areas outside of estate planning.
Prior to joining Henningson & Snoxell, Adam was a partner in another Twin Cities law firm where he practiced estate planning and provided legal services in other practice areas. Adam’s pro bono work has included the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program, Central Minnesota Legal Services and Volunteers of America. He has been active in the community as a children’s coach in baseball and basketball. Adam also provides informational seminars that help clients and prospective clients understand the need for updating or creating an estate plan.
Adam grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, which is known for being on Lake Michigan, having world class golf courses and bratwurst, not necessarily in that order. Adam moved to Minnesota in 1995 to attend college at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Adam and his wife met in college and they now have three boys, including twins, who keep them extremely busy with their school, activities and non-stop energy. Adam’s free time is spent with family, going to the lake in the summer, family vacations and trips with friends, and attending and watching pro and college sporting events, including his favorite teams the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
